What venues pay
- No signup fee, no monthly subscription.
- A reward per seated referral, set by the venue itself (typically €3–€20 depending on the venue type).
- A Tavolo service fee of 25% of that reward, minimum €1.50 per referral.
- Example: a €8 reward costs the venue €8 + €2 service fee = €10 in total.
What referrers earn
Referrers receive the full reward shown on the venue's card, with no deduction. Referrers never pay anything to use Tavolo.
When we charge
Venues save a payment card on file. Charges are made in periodic settlement runs (currently up to monthly) covering all referrals the venue has confirmed as seated since the previous run. Every charge is confirmed by email with a breakdown. Referrer payouts are released to their Stripe payout account after the corresponding venue charge succeeds. All amounts are in euro.
Cancellations and refunds
- A referral can be cancelled free of charge by the referrer or declined by the venue at any point before the guests are marked as seated.
- Nothing is charged for pending, declined, cancelled or no-show referrals.
- If a referral was charged in error — for example a booking marked seated by mistake — contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will refund the reward and service fee in full to the original payment method.
- Refunds are processed via Stripe and normally reach the card within 5–10 business days.
- Disputed referrals are reviewed by us with both parties before any reversal.
Failed payments
If a venue's card is declined we email the venue and retry. Repeatedly unpaid balances may result in the venue being hidden from referrers until the balance is settled.
